Girls Gotta Run Named 2026 Together Women Rise Grantee
Girls Gotta Run is proud to announce that it has been named a 2026 Together Women Rise grantee. With this award, GGRF joins a global network of women-led organizations working toward female empowerment and gender equality.
“We're honored to join the Together Women Rise community of grantees,” said GGRF Executive Director Blaine Kebede. “This recognition comes at a pivotal moment for GGRF as we continue to grow our work in Ethiopia. Together Women Rise's partnership will provide us with critical funding to deepen our impact, strengthen opportunities for girls, and support the next generation of women leaders and change-makers in Ethiopia.”
Together Women Rise is a powerful community of women and allies dedicated to global gender equality. It has hundreds of local chapters across the U.S., where members come together to learn about and advocate for gender equality issues, give grants to organizations that empower women and girls in low-income communities in the Global South, and build community to forge meaningful connections with each other and with women around the world.
The organization’s Featured Grants are largely focused on delivering direct services by funding grassroots organizations that empower and support women and girls in low-income communities in the Global South—where women experience higher levels of poverty, income inequality, lower life expectancy, and harsh living conditions compared to the wealthier nations located mostly in North America and Europe.
Together Women Rise funds a range of projects related to women's economic opportunities, education, leadership, health, safety and security, and climate justice. The organization’s grants fund integrated approaches that address multiple, interconnected challenges, creating an even greater and more sustainable impact.
