Trip Costs & What is Included

Trip Cost: $2,500

The Trip Price Includes:

• 10 days of amazing travel & adventure in Ethiopia with like-minded people focused on empowering girls;

• All accommodations: 9 nights in hotel rooms with private toilet/shower; 1 night in tents during the trekking (based on double occupancy; $310 supplement for single room);

• All transfers and travels in Ethiopia with private car;

• Full board (1 drink per meal included, alcoholic drinks excluded);

• All entrance fees and permissions at tourist attractions, churches, villages, museums and national parks;

• For the trekking in Bale: entrance and camping fees, guide, scouts/rangers, mules and mulemen, cook, cooking assistant, cooking and camping equipment (it's recommended to bring your own sleeping bag though one can be rented);

• All (mandatory) local guides in the single destinations and required safety personnel; and tips included

• 24/7 emergency assistance;

• Experienced SimienEcoTours tour guide (fluent English & Amharic speaking)

• A tax-deductible (in the US) donation to GGRF; fundraising and corporate matches encouraged;

• Women’s First 5K Registration Package Includes:

  • Entry to the 2026 International 5K on March 22, with souvenir race t-shirt and finishers’ medal

  • Altitude training run / walk on Entoto Mountain on March 21

  • Pasta dinner with other International Participants on March 21

Not included:

• International airfare to Addis Ababa

• Ethiopian visa (current cost is $82 for US citizens)

• Travel insurance

• Sleeping Bag (can be rented for 10 USD)
