RUN a race to raise funds for the Foundation.

NEW!!! This spring, in collaboration with Lululemon and Pacers, we will be offering the opportunity
to run the Marine Corps Marathon with a team of local runners to raise funds for the Foundation.
For a commitment to raise at least $1,000 for the marathon or $350 for the 10k, you will get:

               1. A guaranteed entry into the race
               2. The satisfaction of knowing that you are helping hardworking impoverished Ethiopian girl
runners get closer to their dreams of a better life.
               3. Camaraderie and support throughout your training with (optional) group runs offered
almost every day at multiple locations throughout the metropolitan DC area.
               4.  Training plans for beginner, intermediate and advanced level marathoners
                    or 10kers
               5.  Fundraising support: We will help make it simple and successful.
               6.  Helpful workshops by local elite athletes, sports nutritionists, physical therapists, and other
                    running experts.
               7.  Many fans on race day!

Or...CHOOSE YOUR OWN RACE

Support a great cause by seeking pledges from your family and friends when you run your
next half-marathon or marathon. Click here for details.

PURCHASE or COMMISSION GGRF ART. See our Art Gallery. Make us an offer, we'll negotiate. Ask Pat about her "shoe portraits."

ORGANIZE A FUNDRAISER.  Here are some ideas:

     1. Fundraising art exhibit. Here's How to Do It.

     2. Lap-a-thon (Read how some GOTR groups have raised thousands of dollars for GGRF in this way.)

     3. Bake sale, car wash, read-a-thon....possibilities are endless! Be creative!

SEARCH the web through http://www.goodsearch.com/  instead of google or other search engine, when you do a websearch; they donate one cent to the Foundation for every search.

SHOP online through http://www.goodsearch.com/. Each participating store donates a specified percentage of the sales price to the Foundation.

EDUCATE your friends, classmates and networks (on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking tools) about how GGRF is working to fight poverty through supporting girl runners in Ethiopia. Use this GGRF flyer and video.

More Ideas for Artists:

1) If you have a solo exhibit during the year, include one or more pieces the sale of which or a designated percentage of the sale of which, will be specified to go to GGRF (and of course indicate that somewhere in the gallery and info about the exhibit).

2) Do a specifically GGRF dedicated solo exhibit where a specific percentage of the sale of any or all pieces is designated for GGRF. If you have a group exhibit, ask the group if they would make it a fundraiser for GGRF by designating a certain percentage of the group sales, even if it is modest, to be specified to go to GGRF.

3) Get together with another artist friend, and/or a group of artists and/or friends, to do an art-based fundraiser for GGRF. Even a homebased trunk show could be fun, or you could find a friendly art space. A few GGRF supporters also have art spaces for which they are the curators.

4) If you are a gallery owner and/or the curator of an art space, curate one exhibit during the year specifically as a fundraiser for GGRF.

(Please note:  We cannot use so do not accept used shoes, nor do we ship shoes.  It is more efficient and economical to have the athletes or coaches purchase them in country.)
