    Great Ethiopian Run 2010

    Thanks to a grant by the Open Meadows Foundation, the Simien Girl Runners were able to attend the most recent Great Ethiopian Run. Four were entered into the professional race and, among the top 250 international and national athletics, the Simien Girl Runners team received the following results:

    • Alemsehai Girmaye: 39th in 38 minutes

    • Ascal Amare: 41st in 41 minutes

    • Emebet Yirga: 45th in 43 minutes

    • Tigest Bekele: 49th in 48 minutes.
